Stargate: SG-1 -- Don S. Davis - R.I.P.

Don S. Davis.  General George Hammond.

For me, he was always the stability of the Stargate:  SG-1 show.  Like a father figure after the show settled down from the angsty, confrontational beginnings.  He was, some of the time, the one that had to stomp in and demand what the hell was going on.  (Always have to have someone prompt the exposition in the show.  There was always exposition to be had what with Daniel and Sam hanging around looking anxious.)

I've missed him a lot.  When he left the show, it was almost like I was missing a good friend.  Something comfortable and familiar.

I've read that he had health problems and has been quite the artist.  I'm sure he lived his live the fullest he knew how.

R.I.P. Don.  I've enjoyed watching you over the years.  I'm glad I'll be able to see you in the upcoming Stargate movie.  One last hoorah before you go completely.

Here's more about this sad news on Gateworld:

Here's a shot of Don from Psych on USA.  He played a bad guy, but I loved him anyway.

My Disclaimer

I have nothing to do with anything. I own nothing. I receive no money. I have no money.

Please use your own judgment when clicking on any of the links (or lj cuts) I've posted as you may come across slash or sex or stuff so boring you end up face down on your keyboard.

If I do happen to post my own fanfiction, it is not Real Life. Do not attempt anything you read. Yeah, it's not fun in Real Life and you may end up in trouble, in jail or just crap out of luck

That is all.
